The Davis Middle School End of Year Bash was an exciting and meaningful celebration to mark the close of the school year. Students enjoyed music, games, food, and fun while also receiving valuable information to help them stay safe and healthy. In partnership with community leaders and health educators, students learned about the dangers of vaping, how it affects their lungs and brain development, and why it’s important to say no. They were also taught about body safety—understanding boundaries, speaking up when something feels wrong, and knowing who to trust. Finally, the event opened the door to honest conversations around self-harm, helping students recognize the signs, understand the emotional roots, and learn that help and hope are always available. It was a powerful way to celebrate, educate, and equip our students for a strong, safe summer ahead.
